Here is the first part of a Modeling and Texturing project.
In this case, I recreated the leather case of a Kiev 88 camera that I own, a model dating back to the 1950s–60s. For this part, you can see the original manual, which I reproduced by photographing the actual booklet and adding a few extra details in Substance Painter.
The same goes for the Hilford film box. I unfolded it and took a photo to project onto the 3D model, while also adding some details in Substance Painter.
Everything was modeled, unwrapped, lighted, and rendered in Blender Cycles. I composited the final images in Photoshop and created the turnaround in DaVinci Resolve.
As for the roll of tape, I always carry one with me when I shoot photos, to seal my film rolls once they're finished. So I thought it would be a fun detail to include among the props!
To finalize the 3D scene, I added a few dust particles and hairs, especially along the edges of the leather strap.
